A couple of years ago, I had a very similar situation with my dad who had a cardiac arrest while commuting.
Luckily, by astronomical good fortune, he happened to do it at London Bridge station 10 seconds before his train would have left. Which is the only station in London that has paramedics and a defibrillator on site, and so ended up making a full recovery after a scary month in the ICU.
